Welcome to the
University of Nottingham Cycling Club
An Overview of the Club
Over the past few years we have had a dedicated performance coach (Bryan Steel, Olympic silver medallist) who has helped many of our athletes take the next steps and achieve National and BUCS successes on both the track and the road. We have dedicated performance sessions both on the track and the road and will be looking into building a strong performance base in MTB as well. If this is something that interests you please do not hesitate to get in touch!
We have a dedicated welfare sec and are planning to do monthly “healthy bike, healthy mind” workshops, a safe space to receive both vital bike maintenance and discuss any issues you are having with committee members who have received specific welfare and mental health first aid training.
We will be running fortnightly socials including trips to "Nottingham's best" Ocean and Crisis, a boat party as well as lots of sober socials. We also run twice weekly social rides.
Last year saw a great year of trips for the club, with trips to Snowdonia (road and MTB), the Tour of Flanders and Revolution Track Series. We plan to run similar trips this year.
Subs are currently £35 for standard membership and £45 for track membership. Although UoN Sport membership is not necessary to come on rides, socials and trips, you will need it to be able to access the WattBike studio and gym.
